    Our client is a company providing packaging, processing and distribution systems, packaging materials and technical service.

    Purpose of Role: to support a key customer’s maintenance activities by providing effective performance improvement.

    Responsibilities: Reporting within the Technical Service structure and working directly with the customer’s maintenance personnel.

    Ensure optimal output through continuously focusing on system performance.

    Training and Coaching of operators and Technicians.

    Instructing and carrying-out corrective and preventative maintenance.

    Progress rebuild and improvement kits. Installing, managing and reporting PLMS systems/information.

    Skills and Knowledge: Preferred previous knowledge of packaging systems or previous experience in the food packaging industry. Multi-skilled with exceptional ability in the following: Electrical, PLC Control Systems, Servo Drives, Electronic, Hydraulics, Pneumatics.

    Ability to communicate well both written and verbally, with both internal and external customers. The ability to focus and prioritise on the needs of the customer. Skills required to maintain equipment to the required level. Ability to record work carried out to required level. The ability to use common computer software, Word, Excel, Outlook etc.

    Academic Requirements: Degree preferable. HNC/HND of NCEA in Mechanical/Electrical engineering. NVQ 3 minimum in Engineering related subject. Additional Requirements: Driving licence. Health and Safety qualification. This role is site based but may require extended training abroad on occasions.
