    Due to further developments in their product portfolio our client company has an immediate need to recruit a Medical Scientific Liaison Manager. The role is open to physicians or life sciences graduates looking to join the pharmaceutical industry or already in the industry looking to further develop their career.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    Support the Irish franchise enabling internal and external customers to make educated medical decisions on current and future compounds.

    Develop medical knowledge on required compounds (both internal and competitor) currently marketed and in development by constantly reviewing clinical literature presented in medical journals and at local/international conferences

    Provide educational support to both internal and external customers by the development and provision of educational items e.g. presentations, as determined by customer needs.

    Copy approval of promotional materials, assuring compliance with all relevant IPHA and internal Healthcare Compliance guidelines

    Liaise with Sales Force to provide customers with appropriate information and support, in accordance with the IPHA Code of Practice.

    Provide scientific and medical clinical data on required compounds to advisory boards as appropriate to enhance the knowledge of clinicians of the disease area and the positioning of the compounds within the area.

    Respond to unsolicited requests for Named Patient Supply (NPS) for required compounds, approve cases and monitor NPS process by working with regulatory affairs, medical information and customer services.

    Discussions with Key opinion leaders for required compounds as required with the aim of them becoming product champions.

    Educational presentations or face-to-face meetings with healthcare professionals involved with the required compounds to impart key clinical information on the products and disease area.


    Essential Knowledge

    To have an in depth understanding of the required disease areas as well as extensive product knowledge, both of own and competitor products in order to foster high-level relationships with Key Opinion Leaders across the relevant therapeutic area.

    Knowledge of statistics in order to critically appraise scientific papers (including comment on statistical analysis).

    Requirements
    The successful candidate will be

    Medically qualified or have a suitable life-sciences
    degree, Preferably PhD in Oncology or Pharmacist

    Commercially aware

    Enthusiastic and innovative

    Capable of working across many disciplines

    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

    A self-motivator and team player.

    Salary Negotiable on experience (€55-65K + package)
