    The Job The Area Community Development Officer will assist with the delivery of the Council’s Community Support Plan and provide community services and community development support throughout the Newry area. The Person · Excellent working experience of community and social development.

    * Demonstrate experience of the management of significant projects including budgetary management (approximately £50k
    * Excellent understanding of the issues in relation to community development in the Newry area.
    * Proven ability to develop and manage successful working partnerships with at least two of the following voluntary/community/ statutory/business sectors.
    * Excellent administration, organisational and interpersonal skills.
    * Ability to work within a team and under pressure.
    * Ability to analyse complex information
    * Access to a mode of transport that enables the post holder to fulfill the role in full.

    The Package

    * £22,001 - £23,473 per annum, plus an irregular working hours allowance equivalent of 7½% of salary
    * 9 month contract start date 1st September
